Feeding/Eating aids
Slope based bowl- we were given this bowl by the OT and we use it quite a lot. It helps gather food/liquid at one side of the bowl.
Plate with curved edge- this is a great, but quite expensive plate. The curved edge is good to stop the food disappearing off the edge of the plate and it has rubber feet for grip. Charlie did use plate guards originally but we often found that food got stuck under the guard where it didn't quite touch the plate, this is a good alternative.
How do you find eating aids like this bowl and plate? I take for granted that I can eat off of any plate or use any utensil, but I have a brother that is having some trouble. We're trying to find something that will make it easier for him to eat since his hands have started shaking. We don't know why yet, but mealtimes are a little tricky for him. http://www.youcantoocan.com/categories/27_eating_drinking_aids
